At Monday’s council meeting a proposal was brought forward to provide an exemption to city rules restricting large-scale office development outside the city core.

TIMES SQUARE IN LONDON ?

It seems London ’s bylaw enforcement people have had another chore laid on them, this time concerning the proliferation of signs on downtown buildings.

A few weeks ago the Voice noted that this particular city department was understaffed for the amount of work they could theoretically be called upon to do.

I was born in London and have lived here almost all my life, but Monday evening, standing on the corner of Dundas and Richmond, the traditional heart of our downtown, I had a unique experience. I felt afraid to be there.
